You were one of the few people that was here from the start. I knew you for 20 years. You came to my house for dinner and poetry readings every Tuesday since I was in Roosevelt Elementary School. You helped ease the pain. I was comfortable when you were around my Dad. You helped me accept him. You helped me appreciate what I was given. So why didn't you appreciate what you were given?

I don't want these tears to leave
I don't want to focus
I don't want to see things clearly
Blurry vision helps me accept life's imperfections

I love you
I forgive you
But I will never forget you...
